Chick-fil-A Encourages Family Fitness
Local families flocked to the Tuscany Square Chick-fil-A®, Rogers, Ariz., on April 13, when the Restaurant hosted a fun-filled Family Fitness Day in conjunction with the YMCA and Mercy Health Systems.
The three organizations combined forces in an effort to encourage families to remain healthy by eating well and staying active. Parents and children exercised and danced to Zumba®, tasted samples of Chick-fil-A’s new salads and fresh-squeezed lemonade, played miniature golf and bean bag toss, and enjoyed other family-oriented games and exercises.
“We were packed for two solid hours,” says Scott Clark, Operator of the Tuscany Square Chick-fil-A. “Our emphasis was to promote an active healthy lifestyle and eating healthy. Too many kids are sitting in front of video games all day. Exercise doesn’t have to be boring. We were excited to show families some ways they can have fun staying fit together, and that there are fun recreational activities they can do together outside.”
The Chick-fil-A Cow was on hand, there was storytelling for children in the sandbox, inflatable bouncy houses, and free giveaways every 30 minutes, which included Cow toys, water bottles and more.
