Northeast Georgia Restaurants, 1,100 runners Raise Funds for Seven Local Charities
Chick-fil-A restaurants in Northeast Georgia hosted seven 5K races for some 1,100 runners and raised money for seven local charities, including a food bank, an organization that builds housing for special needs adults and a group that provides meals for school children over the weekend.
"There's really nothing better than drawing people together, finding ways to support the things we are passionate about and familiarizing our communities with who and where we are," says Chris Owens, the Operator of the Winder Restaurant.
Participating Chick-fil-A restaurants include:
Barnett Shoals (Athens) – Operator Matt Kirby
Monroe – Operator Brad Lingerfelt
Epps Bridge (Athens) – Operator John Collette
Commerce – Operator Margaret Phillips
Winder – Operator Chris Owens
Madison – Operator Burns Warfield
Beechwood (Athens) – Operator Shane Todd
