North Atlanta Chick-fil-A Restaurants Host 5K, Raise $20,000 for DeKalb Police
In only its second year, 500 runners participated in the 2012 Chick-fil-A Beat the Badge 5K, helping raise $20,000 for the DeKalb Police Alliance, a non-profit organization that provides life insurance to every sworn police officer in DeKalb County, Ga. The race was sponsored by Chick-fil-A’s North Atlanta restaurants.
"This event was a great way to connect the community with those who serve it, while partnering with the DeKalb County Police Department to raise money for a great cause,” said Brad Spratte, Operator of the Chick-fil-A at Northlake Festival.
Participating Chick-fil-A restaurants include: Tucker Station, Northlake Mall, North Druid Hills, Downtown Decatur, Memorial Drive, Northlake Festival, Chamblee Plaza, Peachtree Corners, Jimmy Carter Blvd. and Doraville Plaza.
