A couple of weeks ago my wife called me at work and said she heard about an event called Daddy Daughter Date Night being sponsored by Chick-fil-A. So I went on line and found the site and registered for a date at the Rowlett, TX restaurant for June 18. The day of the date we showed up at the designated parking lot and signed in with a very nice lady. Then we got into a limo, which my daughter thought was fantastic since she had never been in one before. Upon arriving at Chick-fil-A we were escorted down a red carpet to have a picture taken with two Chick-fil-A cows. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a hostess, (all the staff were dressed in black pants and bow ties), she seated us at a table with a black table cloth and flowers in a vase. Then our waitress greeted us and took our drink and food order. While we waited, my daughter and I conversed by answering the questions provided on the place mats, they got you talking about pets, favorite colors, etc. After our meal they had a little desert table with various sweets to choose from. When we were done we were provided a framed picture of the two of us with the cows and a gift bag full of discounts and free visits to area businesses.
What a fantastic time this was for me and my daughter. It will be a memory I will always cherish and a large part of the credit goes to Chick-fil-A and the Rowlett, TX staff. Thank you so much! We hope this event comes back to our area next year so we can make it a tradition. Chick-fil-A once again has shown their commitment to family and community. God Bless!
