My wife loves Chick-fil-A so much that whenever we were traveling she would find out if there was a restaurant nearby so she could get her favorite chicken sandwich, fries and vanilla shake. At the time in Chicago we did not have any Chick-fil-A restaurants. It was on a road trip to New York that on the way back to Chicago in Ohio she just had to have her favorite chicken sandwich. She found a restaurant in a Mall near Cleveland and I deviated our road trip to accommodate her request. That day I scored major brownie points by fulfilling her request. That night we spent somewhere in Indiana just outside Chicago. Regularly, I could make the entire trip in a day but the deviation took too long and we had to stop.
Five weeks later my wife was five weeks pregnant with twins. Soon Chick-fil-A began to open restaurants in Wheaton and Naperville, Illinois. I would drive an hour or more, and many times during rush traffic, two to three times a week, so my beautiful pregnant wife could have her chicken sandwich, fries and vanilla shake.
On April 8, 2011 my wife gave birth to a healthy boy and girl we named Maximilian Alexander and Emerson Lucia Jimenez. Needless to say had a Chick-fil-A not been in our close vicinity on that day traveling back from New York to Chicago our twins may not be here today. Since then, Chick-fil-A has opened closer to our home, in fact, at Loyola University in downtown Chicago, my alma mater.
Thank you, Chick-fil-A. Because of your delicious chicken sandwich, fries and vanilla shake, we are a family.
