Flat Tires, Full Spirits
The plan was to meet at Chick-fil-A for dinner. I left work, picked up our three children and ordered our food. The kids and I started eating, waiting for my husband to arrive and that's when my phone rang.
As I hung up the manager of our Chick-fil-A, Jeff Rouse, came by to check on us. I didn't know what to do. My husband had called to tell me he was stuck on the side of the road, it was 20 degrees outside and he had a flat tire. Jeff kneeled down, listened to my story and said he'd get someone to help me and they would watch our food.
Jeff left to get us help and I began the exhausting process of packing our then baby, toddler and kindergartner into their winter gear and car seats. As I pulled to the side of the road my headlights showed two cars! I was so thankful that SOMEONE had come to my husband's aid.
As I pulled off the road and walked into the freezing wind two men turned to greet me: my husband and Jeff. He had left his restaurant, his business, to help our family. Jeff was an angel to us that night and when we returned to Chick-fil-A our food had been replaced with warm, new entrees and he even gave us dessert!
Thank you Jeff! We love you and your team!
