Chick-fil-A = Good Memories
Olivia and I began our relationship the day after graduating from Covenant College. We had been friends for four years and then I learned that I was completely captivated by this woman, even after I had told her two years ago that I was not attracted to her. On the day when I decided to pour out my heart and tell Olivia that I was attracted to her and wanted to pursue her with the intention of putting a ring on her finger, the day began with us going out to lunch at Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A has always had a special place in our hearts as a lot of our ‘friend’ dates would consist of chicken sandwiches, chicken biscuits, and lemonade. Their food has always been something we valued and would crave.
Olivia and I have been together for over a year and half, but have been separated by distance as I moved to Nairobi, Kenya in January. I was so blessed to have Olivia come visit me in July and when she came, she brought me so much joy by bringing me a chicken sandwich! She had brought it in her carry-on bag and had preserved it carefully. Apart from seeing each other for the first time in over six months and having to give each other a big hug and few kisses, the first thing she did was give me my Chick-fil-A sandwich and let me tell you, it was so amazing to have something that I had been craving for the last six months.
On that trip, I ended up proposing to Olivia on a safari and in the midst of our preparations and wedding talks, the first thing we discussed was that a nugget tray would definitely be at the reception. Thank you Chick-fil-A for valuing quality, being part of so many of our memories and playing a role in the biggest event of our lives!
