Hooray For Chick-fil-A
My Mom, Sylvia, 91 years old and my Dad, Chet, 94 years old look forward to their daily trip to Chick-fil-A on Williamson Blvd in Daytona Beach, Florida. Yes, you read that correctly. Rain or shine, my folks make the trip to Chick-fil-A six days a week, every week.
Going to lunch every day at Chick-fil-A gives my folks a chance to visit with the owner/operator, Gary Harris and his staff. Gary always has a big smile and a funny story to share with them which makes their day. Each one of the staff is incredible and ensures that my folks receive a friendly smile and conversation every day.
My Mom now has difficulty walking and must use portable oxygen. Every day one of the staff members, usually Buck or Dee, meets my folks at their car and assists my Mom and Dad to their favorite table.
The staff also takes their order and delivers it to the table for them. Several of the staff will stop by to say hello and visit. If they need any assistance at all, the staff is right there to give them a hand.
My Mom celebrated her 91st birthday last week with her special friends at Chick-fil-A. The staff gave her a card, filled with wonderful birthday wishes and Carol baked a delicious brownie cake to mark her special day. This past year my Dad celebrated his 94th birthday and together they celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary with their Chick-fil-A family.
All of the exceptional people at this Chick-fil-A go above and beyond every day to provide incredible service, help and friendship. They have truly become part of our extended family.
Hooray for Chick-fil-A!!
