My Chick-fil-A Baby
We had been waiting on an adoption list for 3 years. We unexpectedly received a call on a Monday afternoon that our "life book" was being shown to a birthmother. We waited and waited. At 6:00 P.M.Tuesday evening we received a call from our adoption agency that we had been chosen. UNBELIEVABLE, now for my Chick-fil-A story!!!
I had so many questions it was all a blur after 3 years of waiting!!! My last question was when can we pick him up? The Agency began asking where we would like to meet the NEXT DAY!!! God is so GOOD!! I asked where they had him and was told he was in Cobb County. The only place I could think of meeting that we knew exactly where it was, was Chick-fil-A on Windy Hill Road!! They agreed! At 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday we drove to Chick-fil-A at Windy Hill Road to meet OUR SON! He was the most beautiful baby ever...of course!
For years we would go back to eat and sit at the same table and I would tell him "his story" about how we finally became a family at Chick-fil-A!! He loved it. He is now 15 years old and such an amazing Christian young man. We adopted again 7 years later from Guatemala. My youngest loves telling everyone that he was born in Guatemala, but his brother was born at Chick-fil-A!! We love ya'll! You helped make us a family!
