Love At First Taste
Until the other day, I never had the pleasure of visiting your restaurants. I met my wife at University of Victoria. She was an American student who stole my heart. Well puppy love quickly grew and we married several years later. Our lovely child is now starting her second year of school in Austin, TX.
When we visited after a long drive, our daughter suggested we stop at Chick-fil-A when my blood sugar dropped in the car. She said, "Daddy lets pull over here" and told me she often goes there with her friends.
She stated that when she first arrived at school a lot of her classmates would gather at a local pizza parlor. She realized that they served pitchers of beer on a regular basis to underage students. She and 2 of her friends felt the atmosphere was not at all enjoyable so the next weekend they sat in their dorms bored and hungry. Well, on a whim they visited your Austin Restaurant and it became "their hangout".
She and her friends make Saturday breakfast there a constant. Your staff must have noticed my daughter struggling to help me stand up from the passenger seat because a young employee came out and said, "Jenny is everything all right?" and quickly helped me take a seat while my wife ordered. Your staff knew her by name. I was shocked and overwhelmed with the respectful act of kindness shown to me.
I was given a large order of Waffle Fries to help my blood sugar while my order was made. Well your food hit the spot. Soon members of your staff regaled me with stories of how they expected to see Jenny every Saturday for breakfast and would ask her about school and just life in general.
I would like to thank you for this. She was a small town girl out of state for the first time and you gave her a feeling of family.
