How Chick-fil-A Changed My Life
I was walking in Frontier Mall, Cheyenne WY in 1986, when I noticed a new restaurant had opened. It had the goofiest name, Chick-fil-A, but I gave it a try. The Chicken Sandwich was pretty good, but it was the sweet tea that rocked my world. It so reminded my of my mama's North Carolina tea that I made up my mind I was through with the West and it was time to head to the land of sweet tea.
I made it to Atlanta in 1987. By luck, I ended up living a stone throws from the original Chick-fil-A in Hapeville. I got married, had two wonderful kids and I'm still living the good life in Peachtree City, GA. All thanks to a Chick-fil-A restaurant that had honest-to-goodness sweet tea as good as my mama's in wind blown Cheyenne, WY.
I will always be grateful to Chick-fil-A.
