Kindergarten Field Trip
On Friday, April 26, 2013 my little boy's Kindergarten class went on a "Community Field Trip" in Morristown, Tennessee. The class, along with teachers, parents and grandparents visited a local bank, Chick-fil-A, a fire station, and a local grocery store. I followed the bus in my van to each location. As I was turning into the driveway of the shopping center where Chick-fil-A is located I was surprised to see the sign stating "Welcome Whitesburg Elementary School". That was just the beginning of our wonderful visit. The staff were all so gracious to us...especially considering about 48 5 and 6 year olds had descended on them! The children got to enjoy Chick-fil-A Chicken, Waffle Fries (my favorite), and an Icedream cone. They also got to play in the play area and color a picture of the famous Chick-fil-A Cows.
The children had a wonderful time that was capped off with a visit from a Chick-fil-A Cow. All the children got a stuffed Chick-fil-A Cow to take home, and we took a class picture with the Chick-fil-A Cow. The whole experience was just awesome! I saw smiles on several customers faces as the children enjoyed themselves. As we were leaving I saw two of the children give a hug to the lovely lady who coordinated our visit. On our way home my son's grandmother, who also went on the trip, asked him which part of the trip was his favorite. He said it was going to Chick-fil-A. I just want to thank all of the staff again for making a special day for the children even more special. I told one of the teachers that if I hadn't already loved Chick-fil-A when we got there, I certainly would have after we left!
