The Power Of The Nugget!!!
I've been down this road before...I have come across many dogs in my life, and with the joys of having a dog also comes the perils of losing a dog. Which brings us to my good friend Austin the dog...Austin is a sly character. He's full of bologna, often times speaks before he thinks and has a knack for catching a nap at the most convenient of times, when I'm carrying in groceries, taking out the trash, or vacuuming up all of his dog hair.
One Sunday morning, I awoke and Austin's front legs weren't working. After a trip to the emergency vet, followed by a trip to his actual vet, Austin had a herniated disk that was applying pressure to his spinal cord, thus cutting off the communication to his front legs. A decision had to be made to preform surgery with no guarantee that he would return to 100%.
I don't know where you come from, but where I come from there is no greater love than he who hast laid down his life for his brother. In this instance, life=credit card. $3,600 later and several grey hairs gained, Austin received his surgery. With the stakes on the table I went to visit Austin at the hospital and he laid there like a college frat boy taking his first keg stand.
With the odds against us and Austin crawling around without the use of his front limbs we brought him home. Being that I myself am a huge fan of Chick-fil-A Nuggets, I went and bought a Chick-fil-A Tray. 60 nuggets in hand, I took a nugget and laid it in front of him. He devoured that nugget like the T-Rex on Jurassic Park. I then laid a nugget a couple of feet in front of him and he crawled to it and ate it. The light bulb was so bright I had to wear shades! I took a nugget and placed it on the opposite side of the room. Austin got up and walked to that Nugget!
Thank you and I give you the power of the Nugget! Austin walks!
