Above And Beyond
My daughter Lauryn and her friends stopped at the Fresno, CA Chick-fil-A restaurant on their way back to college from break. It's her favorite place to stop before the long road through Kings Canyon to her school. She left her purse at the restaurant. No drivers license, no ID. She did, however, have a two year old high school ID in the purse. The wonderful staff tracked down the high school and called the school. They were able to convince the school secretary to get a hold of me. She sent me a message, and asked me to call them. Who does this kind of stuff anymore? Wow! I phoned the Restaurant and spoke to two different people. Unfortunately, I didn't get either name, but both were friendly, professional, and couldn't have been nicer. I explained that I lived 3 hours away, and Lauryn was not only 2 hours away in the opposite direction, but didn't drive. No problem, they said. They would be happy to mail her purse. I was so happy to hear that. I asked them if I could give a credit card number to pay for the postage, and they refused. "We would be happy to mail it."
You just don't hear about that kind of customer service anymore. The purse wasn't that valuable. She had cash and her debit card in the purse, not a lot, but to a college kid, and her mom, every dollar counts. Just knowing that there are still good people in the world, people who go out of their way to help out others without anything in return was the best feeling ever. I'm a pretty positive person anyway, but you really made my day! Not only did her purse arrive a few days later with everything safe and sound, but they also sent coupons! You have put a smile on my face and I can't thank you enough! The staff at the Blackstone Ave restaurant are truly staff to be proud of!
Thank you from a customer for life!!
