One In One Thousand
I recently attended a Bayside Community Church event for teens called 12 conference. During this conference, Chick-fil-A catered to those who paid in advance the day before. When it came time to pay, I realized I had forgotten my money. A really close friend of mine attending the conference with me, who also happened to be a Chick-fil-A team member, kindly offered to call his manager and order me a meal.
When I went to go pick up my sandwich, due to the rush, I paid ten dollars for a six dollar meal, told the manager to keep the change, and walked away. Approximately an hour after enjoying my delicious sandwich, a man came up to me, smiled, and said "here is your four dollars". The fact an employee would go out of his way in a crowd of a thousand teenagers just to find one girl and give her four dollars change astounds me, and also encouraged me that a small kind act can go a long way.
