Yesterday I Was In Argentina
Hello. We are a family of 6 from San Antonio, TX. We serve as missionaries in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We left the USA, March 2009 to begin our journey that has led us to serving. We returned to the US as a family only two times, once for a wedding and once for a funeral. The last time (prior to July 12) was last June/July and we had a blast during the 2012 Cow Appreciation Day. We knew we would be coming home sometime in July 2013 for our official stateside assignment and were not sure of the dates. Many things transpired and as it turned out we flew out on July 11, 2013, at 830pm; arriving in San Antonio at about 10am on July 12, your Cow Appreciation Day.
We were going to have to go through Atlanta, Georgia at 6am and were hoping to get a breakfast biscuit after going through customs and before heading on to San Antonio, so we found cow masks that we purchased at home in hopes of using them in the airport. But, it was not to be. Our flight was slightly delayed, leaving us absolutely no time to get to terminal C to get a biscuit, as we were flying out of terminal B.
We were greeted by our entire family at the airport and my wonderful sister brought last year's costumes and had touched them up. We quickly changed into costume and headed for Chick-fil-A. We stayed in costume all day long. We ate lunch and dinner and had after dinner shakes. It was the best homecoming present we could have ever hoped for. After not being able to have Chick-fil-A for so long we were more than ready to eat all day long there. The food is amazing and the customer service is always wonderful. We were so thankful for the opportunity we had to return home and eat where we love for free. What a blessing. Thanks Chick-fil-A.
