My daughter and I had just left her softball game and headed to Chick-fil-A on Hanes Mill Road in Stanleyville, North Carolina for a quick bite before heading home. My daughter wanted to go through the drive-thru instead of eating in (which we never do). After ordering and pulling up to the window I noticed my "check gauge" light came on. I looked at the gauges and saw that my temperature gauge was in the "red" and was beginning to overheat. I was trying not to act hurried when the young fellow named James at the drive-in window noticed my look of anxiousness on my face. I told him my car was overheating. He immediately told me to go park my car and he would be right out with water for the car and our food. Only a few minutes after we parked, here he came as he promised, with a towel and a jug of water and a smile. He opened the hood to inspect what the problem may be. James re-filled the engine coolant (after it blew up all over him and insisted he was just fine). He then noticed that the main belt had come off (and he knew the name of the belt). He worked on trying to get the belt back on (and I'm sure would have it he had the tools with him). I was just blown away by how much James helped us and was willing to help us. I just can't begin to tell you how blessed we were to have gone to Chick-fil-A tonight and was waited on by James. We were so thankful that we were somewhere that we felt safe and had someone who was so polite and eager to help us with our car trouble. I worried that James would get in trouble for helping us with our car and he said, "Ma'am, this is what we do". Chick-fil-A in Stanleyville, North Carolina is exceptional with exceptional employees. My daughter said as we left, "Mom, he was like our guardian angel". Thank you James for being such a kind and helpful employee! One more reason that Chick-fil-A is in a class of it's own - no other restaurant could ever compare when it comes to the customer service you provide.
