Mother Daughter Tea
I have a teenage daughter which means getting time to sit down and talk with her rarely happens. It’s the age of “do I have to Mom!”, “I want to hang out with my friends!”, or “that’s so embarrassing!” She was really excited to eat out at Chick-fil-A. When we entered the Chick-fil-A Dwarf House in Stockbridge GA for the Mother-Daughter Tea the restaurant was beautifully decorated with white tablecloths and balloons. The hostess at the door handed out cards with conversation starters and escorted us to our table. The hostess honored my request to be at a table away from the balloons as I am allergic to latex (I was so appreciative).
The waiters and waitress had white shirts instead of the normal uniform shirts it was like walking into a fancy restaurant. We had amazing conversations based on the conversations starters. Our server was friendly and funny and after the meal he brought over a cup of punch and a cookie for desert. As we were having desert Baby cow made an appearance and pictures were taken by parents of their daughters with baby cow.
After dinner there was a flower craft and my daughter had a blast putting it together with the other girls. We had our picture taken to remember the evening by a photographer who said come back in two days and pick it up at the counter. As anyone with a teen age daughter knows the moments you get with just you and your daughter at that age are fleeting, because she is more interested in friends and boys and growing up too fast. Chick-fil-A gave me a precious gift that night; precious time with my little girl. She was smiling and having fun with me just like old times. Thanks!
