The tornado hit Birmingham Alabama on April 27, 2011. My mother's neighborhood, close to Pratt City, was hit hard. Her home was spared but everything around her was leveled. The day after the tornado I took food, and water to my mother and brother. I had to park far away and walk because the neighborhood was impassible by car. When I got the entrance of my mother's subdivision I saw Heath K.,... read more >
Chick-fil-A family...that's what we are!
After 11yrs of marriage, my wife and I have 2 children (ages 9 and 3) and Chick-fil-A has LITERALLY become a household word for us!
My youngest, DeLaney, says she LOVES Chick-fil-A just about every day. If we go out somewhere, she wants to know if we are going to Chick-fil-A. When we leave church on Sunday, it is Chick-fil-A she wants to stop at, even th... read more >
On my daughter’s third birthday, I took her and her sister to our local Chick-fil-A for lunch. Angela, the marketing director, came by to ask us if we needed anything — little did she know what my family was going through. We started talking, and as soon as she found out it was Sonya’s third birthday, she ran into the back of the restaurant and came back with a balloon, a brownie sundae and a lit... read more >
As an airline pilot, often times passengers will stick their heads up in the flight deck and say hello as I am preparing for a flight. Back in the year 2000, I was hired with AirTran Airways and began serving Atlanta, Georgia while maintaining residence with my family in Illinois. About once every month one of our passengers, an elderly man, introduced himself to me and said kind words of thanks... read more >
I've always believed the old adage, "A penny saved is a penny earned," so my husband and I save our loose change in a jar until one of us finally rolls it in coin wrappers. One afternoon, with my pennies, nickels, quarters and dimes in hand, I took my children, Spencer and Abby, and their Aussie friends, Hamish and Francesca, for our first visit to the newly-opened Chick-fil-A in our neighborhood... read more >
The picture of my wife and me is an old one. I chose it because, after 41 years of marriage, she passed away three months ago. I miss her every day. Although I am now 71 years old, up until last week I had never eaten at a Chick-fil-A restaurant. On this particular day it was lunch time, I had not eaten all day, and there was a Chick-fil-A restaurant right across the parking lot. I went in and ... read more >
Earlier this week I went the Pearland Chick-fil-A on Broadway with three of my friends and our nine children. As soon as we entered the door (harried and needing a few extra hands as always) the staff rushed to help us. I was floored! Within three minutes, they had a table ready for us with the appropriate number of high chairs and one staff member came to take our order right at the table! Th... read more >
I have a teenage daughter which means getting time to sit down and talk with her rarely happens. It’s the age of “do I have to Mom!”, “I want to hang out with my friends!”, or “that’s so embarrassing!” She was really excited to eat out at Chick-fil-A. When we entered the Chick-fil-A Dwarf House in Stockbridge GA for the Mother-Daughter Tea the restaurant was beautifully decorated with white tablec... read more >
