There is a pretty new Chick-fil-A in Cheltenham Square Mall Plaza and I was rolling through the drive thru one day. I saw several of their staff members outside approaching cars in the drive thru and was confused. It had been raining all day and the speaker box was not working. The staff was out there in the rain with rain coats on and headphones manually taking our orders and calling them inside ... read more >
On a freezing Colorado night, January 2010, with my wife and daughter, I drove South from Denver to Colorado Springs. We'd just seen my mother off on her flight home to Missouri after harrowing weeks in a Denver Hospital. She'd had a bad car accident on her way to see us for Christmas. The last two weeks she was in Denver, we'd lodged in the Hospitality Home in the Hospital's parking lot. And ... read more >
Having moved away from home five years ago to attend college, The Rome, GA Dwarf House has become my home away from home. After a few times of joining the usual customers for breakfast each morning at the counter I quickly found myself considered "a usual" and making sure I never missed a day. Each time I walked in the door I was greeted by name, had a cup of Chick-fil-A's infamous sweet tea wai... read more >
Today, my 9 year old daughter brought a story she wrote home from school. My husband and I got such a kick out of this and thought that Chick-fil-A deserved to have a copy. We've enjoyed eating, playing, and going to the kid events there. The staff has always been pleasant. It's such a family friendly place and you will get that sense from her story! I left her story unedited. Happy reading!

I am a teacher and end of the school year events had me frazzled and unimaginative. I planned last minute. I knew that most of his friends would likely be at the beach for the weekend but thought maybe I could gather a couple... read more >
At the end of April 2010, my wife, our two small children and myself drove from Nolensville, TN to the opening of your Bethlehem, GA location hoping to be in the First 100. We were fortunate enough that both of us made it in, with my number being the 100th ticket drawn. As soon as we set up our tent, we received a call that my mother was critically ill at the hospital. We had left TN knowing th... read more >
Our community, The Landings, located at 6820 Woodbend Drive in Raleigh, NC experienced a devastating fire on May 23, 2011 at 3:30 a.m. Twenty-seven of our residents were displaced due to this event. When the blaze was put out, many were still in shock by what they had just experienced. Many did not know where to start to put the pieces of their lives back together. It is times like this that ... read more >
Every year, twice a year, for two years running, five of my close friends and I have piled into a van and driven an hour south out of Ann Arbor, Michigan into Toledo to get our hands on our favorite food.
This has become somewhat of a post-finals tradition for us, coming out of high school, and should continue for us in college where we'll be together as well. We lament that there are no closer l... read more >
