Four years ago, my husband and I found out that we were going to have our first child, a boy. We were so excited. All went well with the pregnancy until around 28 weeks when it was discovered that I had type 1 diabetes. It was hard to control, but against the odds of complications, our son was born happy and healthy. I was told by my doctor that I should consider not having any more children becau... read more >
It was my first day of high school. My best friend and I were lucky enough to have the same homeroom together. She told me that there was supposed to be a really hot guy in our homeroom. She said his name was Luke and every girl had a crush on him.
On our first day I sat in the front row of the class. My friend sat in the desk behind me. She hit my back, of course I turned around to look at her... read more >
March 29th, 2014 was a day that changed my life. During a basketball game, I was hit and fell down tearing my ACL, shredding my meniscus, and fracturing my tibia. What I had hoped for in my upcoming senior year was all shattered after this incident. Six months later and I am still struggling to walk, use the restroom, and shower on my own. Through my darkest days I still manage to put a smile ... read more >
Since I live in Wisconsin, where Chick-fil-A hasn't quite expanded (yet), going to Chick-fil-A is a huge treat. I really only get a chance to eat my favorite Chick-n-Strips when our Nazarene Teen Bible Quizzing team participates in quizzing tournaments out of state. Each year, Stephen, my fellow quizzing coach, and I get to introduce a handful of really great kids to the awesomeness of Chick-fil-A... read more >
My husband and I both grew up in the South (Mississippi and Georgia). We met in Montana and have both been living out here for the last 10+ years. Any time we head south we eat as much Chick-fil-A as possible! We had been threatening for years to make a trip to the closest Chick-fil-A to us, which is in Ammon, Idaho- 320 miles or almost 5 hours one way from us in Missoula, MT.
On a random Friday... read more >
We eat Chick-fil-A tonight in memory of Truett Cathy. Anybody who knows me knows how much I love Chick-fil-A...my husband Clark had it for me when he proposed, I ate it the morning of our wedding, and it was my first meal after delivering my son Caleb. I request Chick-fil-A on our date nights (to which my husband responds, "I love that you are such a cheap date"), I eat it every year on my birthda... read more >
I just want to say that I love Chick-fil-A. The first time I ever had it, I was hooked. The restaurant I went to was in Texas and I live in California now so I was a little worried that there wouldn't be any where I live. But to my surprise there was! Although they're a little far, I make the trip at least twice a month to treat myself. It just makes me so happy. From the employees to, of course, ... read more >
For the past three years the Chick-fil-A Hurst in Hurst TX has hosted a blood and bone marrow registry drive in honor of my daughter Hallie Bea.
