Inside Chick-fil-A

Kids drop off favorite stuffed animals for overnight stay

When the cow’s away, the kangaroos, whales, bunny rabbits, dinosaurs and mice will play. At least that’s the story out of Jacksonville, Florida where the Chick-fil-A at Roosevelt Square hosted a spend-the-night for hundreds of stuffed animals belonging to the community’s children.

Rebecca, a spunky 7-year-old, was among the children willing to separate from her favorite plush pal, Maddie, for the evening. Caught somewhere between worlds of real and imagined, at least for the time being, Rebecca shares everything with Maddie who has become her ever-ready play companion and a valued partner for nearly every journey.

“I hope when they go home, it's a memorable experience”

As part of the Stuffed Animal Sleepover Event, the two dined together at the restaurant. At the end of their meal, Rebecca and the other children tucked their stuffed animals in for an overnight adventure. See what happens when Rebecca, with bravery and a smile, parts with her beloved bunny for a night— and what happens when the lights go out.

Chick-fil-A at Roosevelt Square is one of 200 restaurants that are a part of captivating the hearts and imaginations of children nationwide. For more information on family adventures, click here.
