Restaurant to Bring Approximately 140 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community

In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Bluff Street & Blackridge Drive will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Washington County with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater St. George area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A Bluff Street & Blackridge Drive is locally owned and operated by Deven Macdonald. Originally from Washington, Macdonald moved to Utah to earn his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Upon graduating, Macdonald spent the first 14 years of his career in portfolio management at a software company. During this time, Macdonald was active in many youth organizations and had a passion for helping young people develop critical life skills. Searching for a career change and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, he set his sights on becoming a Chick-fil-A Operator. In 2013, Macdonald was thrilled to be selected as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Red Rock Commons and moved to St. George with his wife, Brittany, and their four children. Nearly nine years later, Macdonald is excited to extend his impact on Washington County as a local business owner, operating both Chick-fil-A Red Rock Commons and Chick-fil-A Bluff Street & Blackridge Drive.
“For nearly a decade, my family and I have called St. George our home, and I am humbled by the opportunity to continue making a difference in the community that has meant so much to us,” said Macdonald. “With the opening of Chick-fil-A Bluff Street & Blackridge Drive, I look forward to mentoring my Team Members and showing care for our neighbors, serving them great-tasting food with Chick-fil-A’s signature hospitality.”
