Restaurant Brings Approximately 80 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes With Free Chick-fil-A Meals for a Year
DENISON, Texas (Aug. 22, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Denison community on Thursday, Aug. 25. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Rob Medders as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Denison.
Located at 2801 W. FM 120, near the intersection of Layne Drive, Chick-fil-A Denison will be open for dine-in and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., with drive-thru available until 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Denison can place an order for pickup or dine-in on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, guests receive points on every qualifying purchase which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Denison restaurant joins three other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Texoma market.

As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators are proud members of the communities in which they serve.
In Denison, Medders will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 80 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Having spent his entire life in the Texoma region, Medders is excited to open another Chick-fil-A location in the community he calls home. Medders attended Dallas Baptist University and after graduation, he spent 14 years working for Texas Instruments (TI), with five of those years at TI’s Sherman plant. Ready for a new adventure, Medders joined Chick-fil-A as an Operator in 2003 and opened Chick-fil-A Sherman in his hometown later that year, which he will continue to operate in addition to Chick-fil-A Denison. Alongside his wife Rhonda, who serves as his Unit Marketing Director, and their three children, Medders is thrilled to open Chick-fil-A Denison’s doors to serve the community.
“I look forward to welcoming our guests in Denison and continuing to provide Chick-fil-A’s signature hospitality to the community I know and love,” said Medders. “It has been such a great experience operating a location in my hometown, and I am overjoyed to open another restaurant in the surrounding community.”
Caring for the Denison Community
In honor of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America on behalf of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area to aid in the fight against hunger.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Denison is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Denison area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.
