Restaurant to Bring Approximately 150 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Lorain Community
LORAIN, Ohio (March 10, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Lorain, OH, on Thursday, March 10. To manage the new Lorain location, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Matt Woods as the independent franchised Owner/Operator. Woods will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 150 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Starting March 10, Chick-fil-A Lorain will be open at 5400 Leavitt Road, Lorain, OH 44053. From 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, guests can dine in or carry out their favorite menu items. Drive-thru ordering will be available Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Chick-fil-A remains committed to safely serving guests, who can take advantage of contactless ordering and payment through the free Chick-fil-A mobile app or through online ordering. To celebrate the opening, Chick-fil-A Lorain will surprise 100 local heroes making an impact in the Lorain County area with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America, distributing the funds to partners in the greater Lorain area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Locally Owned and Operated
Born and raised in Florence, KY, Woods began his journey with Chick-fil-A in 2009, where he served as a manager at a local Chick-fil-A restaurant In Brandon, FL. During his tenure working for Chick-fil-A until 2011, Woods also served as a financial advisor before moving to Ohio to lead his family's business in the lock and hardware industry. After earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and spending years gaining additional leadership experience by leading his family business and serving in the National Guard, Woods was selected as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Lorain. Woods is eager to engage with Lorain residents and make Chick-fil-A Lorain an integral community hub.

Chick-fil-A Lorain will feature a multi-lane drive-thru, an outdoor canopy for face-to-face ordering and mentoring opportunities and room for advancement for employees. Full-time employees will be eligible to receive paid time off as well as health benefits.
