Restaurant to Bring Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to TC Community
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (Feb. 28, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Traverse City on March 3. This will be the first and only Chick-fil-A restaurant in Northwest Michigan, and the next closest Chick-fil-A Is nearly 150 miles away. To manage the new location, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Chris Ramsey as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Traverse City. Ramsey will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Starting March 3, Chick-fil-A Traverse City will be open at 2700 N US Highway 31 S, Traverse City, MI 49684. From 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, guests can dine in, use the drive-thru or carry out their favorite menu items. The new Traverse City location will be approximately 5,000 square feet, and will feature a multi-lane drive-thru and an outdoor canopy for face-to-face ordering. Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. To celebrate the opening, Chick-fil-A Traverse City will surprise 100 local heroes making an impact in the TC area with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America, distributing the funds to partners in the greater Northern Michigan area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Born and raised in Toledo, OH, Ramsey began his journey with Chick-fil-A in 2015, where he served as a Team Member before quickly transitioning into a leadership position. Ramsey was deeply moved by Chick-fil-A’s vision to have a positive influence on the communities it serves, which inspired him to pursue a career with the brand. As a next step to fulfill his passion, Ramsey enrolled in Chick-fil-A’s Leadership Development Program in 2018. After the completion of 12 assignments throughout the U.S., where he served new Operators and assisted in the operation of company-owned restaurants, Ramsey was selected as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Traverse City. For years, Ramsey has enjoyed traveling to Northern Michigan with his wife, Ellie. Together they found a deep love for the area with each visit, and they look forward to raising their three kids in a city that instills unique beauty and adventure. Ramsey relishes the opportunity to bring Chick-fil-A to those who have not experienced it before and is excited to operate with a level of excellence that reflects the best of Chick-fil-A.
