Restaurant to Bring Approximately 60 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community

 AUSTIN, Texas (July 26, 2021) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Austin on Thursday, July 29. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Luke Steigmeyer as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A 6th & Congress. Steigmeyer will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 60 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A 6th & Congress is located at 600 Congress Ave. Suite C150, in Downtown Austin just a few blocks from the Texas Capitol, and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. to midnight, Thursday through Saturday.

In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A 6th & Congress will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Austin with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Austin-area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A 6th & Congress is locally owned and operated by Luke Steigmeyer. Steigmeyer moved to the Austin area at a young age and began working as a Chick-fil-A restaurant Team Member while attending Lake Travis High School. Upon graduating college from Full Sail University, Steigmeyer set his sights on becoming a Chick-fil-A Operator and returned to Austin to learn the ins and outs of the business as a Grand Opening Supervisor, helping open new Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country. In 2017, Steigmeyer was thrilled to be selected as the Operator of Chick-fil-A South Park Mall in San Antonio, Texas. Today, Steigmeyer is excited to return to Austin to bring this new restaurant to the community.
