Restaurant to Bring Approximately 90 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community
BAYTOWN, Texas (Dec. 6, 2021) – A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is slated to open for business in Baytown on Thursday, Dec. 9. Chick-fil-A®, Inc. has selected Taylor Henckel as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A I-10 at John Martin Rd. Henckel will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 90 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A I-10 at John Martin Road is located at 4053 East Freeway, near the intersection of Benson Street and Market Street, and will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A I-10 at John Martin Rd will open for drive-thru, mobile ordering, dine-in and carry-out service, with third-party delivery available shortly after the opening. Guests can take advantage of contactless ordering and payment through the free Chick-fil-A mobile app or online ordering. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A I-10 at John Martin Rd will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in the Baytown area with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Houston area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A I-10 at John Martin Rd is locally owned and operated by Taylor Henckel, who has lived in the Baytown area for almost a decade. This is Henckel’s second Chick-fil-A restaurant and he will continue to operate Chick-fil-A Baytown, just one mile away from his new location. As a second-generation Operator, to Henckel, Chick-fil-A has always been family. Henckel started his career with Chick-fil-A in high school and continued to work at the restaurant throughout college. During this time, he was awarded a Chick-fil-A Team Member Scholarship to apply toward his degree at Lamar University. After graduating, Henckel completed the Chick-fil-A Interim Manager Program, later becoming the Operator of Chick-fil-A Baytown in 2012. Alongside his wife, Lina, and their three children, Henckel is excited to bring another Chick-fil-A restaurant to the Baytown community and continue serving guests great-tasting food and genuine hospitality at both Chick-fil-A I-10 at John Martin Rd and Chick-fil-A Baytown.
