Locally Owned and Operated

Born in Newport News, Va. and raised in Suwanee, Ga., Kayla Maxwell fell in love with Chick-fil-A at a young age. For her, however, it wasn’t just the food that drew her in. Learning about the role of a Chick-fil-A Operator from a close family friend who owned their local restaurant, Maxwell quickly realized how Chick-fil-A franchise owners impact their communities far beyond restaurant walls. She knew she was meant for the role and made it her goal to open a Chick-fil-A restaurant of her own one day.

In high school, Maxwell became a Team Member at Chick-fil-A Moore Road in Suwanee, Ga., working for the Operator who had first introduced her to the brand. She went on to study business management at Brigham Young University-Idaho but returned home to join Chick-fil-A as a manager for several years upon graduation. With her end goal still clearly in sight, Maxwell joined Chick-fil-A’s Leadership Development Program to study the restaurant opening process and was selected at the end of 2020 to open Chick-fil-A Bonney Lake.

“I am thrilled to be opening Chick-fil-A Bonney Lake, and I look forward to introducing our delicious food and signature hospitality to the community,” said Maxwell. “My Chick-fil-A mentors have shaped who I am today, and my goal is to have that same impact on my Team Members and neighbors as we establish ourselves in this welcoming community.”
