Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A Carson Valley is locally owned and operated by Matt Hock. A native of California, Hock grew up in the Sacramento area and studied Physical Education at California State University, Chico. Upon graduating, Hock’s passion for youth mentorship led him to Young Life, where he served as the organization’s regional director for the Northern California and Nevada area for more than 16 years. Before joining Chick-fil-A, he also spent time as a middle school teacher in Elk Grove, Calif., where he was inducted into the school’s Teacher Hall of Fame.
Hock's first introduction to Chick-fil-A was in 2006, where he was immediately inspired by the genuine hospitality and great-tasting food he experienced. As he learned more about Chick-fil-A’s culture of care and the opportunity that Chick-fil-A franchise owners have to make an impact outside of their restaurants, he set his sights on a career with the company. He applied to become a Chick-fil-A franchised owner in 2017, and was selected to become the Operator of Chick-fil-A Carson Valley in July 2019. As a new Carson City resident and business owner, Hock is looking forward to building relationships in the community, helping his Team Members grow, and setting his team on the path toward future success. In his spare time, Hock enjoys golfing, hiking, paddle boarding and spending quality time with his wife, Kelly, and their two children.
“My family and I look forward to opening Chick-fil-A Carson Valley and growing a team centered on caring for our community,” said Hock. “We are excited to build relationships with our neighbors and offer our Guests great-tasting food in a safe and welcoming environment.”
