Restaurant to Bring Approximately 120 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community
LOS ANGELES (July 19, 2021) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Carson on Thursday, July 22. Chick-fil-A®, Inc. has selected Chris McGalliard as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A 405 & Avalon. McGalliard will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 120 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A 405 & Avalon is located across from The Shops at SouthBay Pavilion at 20501 South Avalon Blvd., and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A 405 & Avalon will open for drive-thru, dine-in, carry-out and third-party delivery service. Guests can take advantage of the duel-lane drive-thru, along with online ordering and ordering through the free Chick-fil-A mobile app shortly after the opening. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A 405 & Avalon will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Los Angeles County with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Los Angeles-area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A 405 & Avalon is locally owned and operated by Chris McGalliard. Originally from Redding, Ca., McGalliard began his career at Chick-fil-A in 2016, working as a restaurant Team Member at the Chick-fil-A Hollywood location. He has lived locally in Los Angeles County for the past ten years and has a degree in business accounting from Azusa Pacific University.
