Restaurant to Bring Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community

CHARLOTESVILLE, Va. (Sept. 13, 2021) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Charlotesville on Wednesday, Sept. 15. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Bryan Ritter as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Barracks Road. Ritter will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A Barracks Road is located at 1000 Emmet St. N,, at the intersection of Emmet St. and Barracks Rd., and will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A Barracks Road will open for drive-thru and carry out only. Guests can take advantage of contactless ordering and payment through the free Chick-fil-A® App or through online ordering. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Barracks Road will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Charlotesville with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Charlotesville area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A has been a significant part of Operator Bryan Ritter’s life since he was 14 years old. A Virginia native, Ritter began working at Chick-fil-A Apple Blossom Mall in his hometown of Winchester at the age of 14, where he grew his skillsets and was awarded a scholarship in 1996 to further his education. Ritter also met his futue wife at Chick-fil-A Apple Blossom Mall as well as his future father-in-law, who was the Operator of the restaurant. In 2009, with a degree in business administration from James Madison University, Ritter was tapped to become a Chick-fil-A Operator and has been serving his communities ever since. Ritter became the Operator of Chick-fil-A Pantops in Charlotesville in 2015 and looks forward to continue serving guests at Chick-fil-A Pantops while operating Chick-fil-A Barracks Road.
“I have loved every day of serving my neighbors in the Charlotesville area, and I’m excited to continue giving back to my community and investing in my Team Members through Chick-fil-A Barracks Road as well as Chick-fil-A Pantops,” said Ritter. “Chick-fil-A has given me invaluable skills that I’ve carried with me since I was a teenager, and I look forward to giving my Team Members the same opportunities.”
