Restaurant to Bring Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community
HAMPTON, Va. (April 30, 2021) – Chick-fil-A Newmarket, located in Hampton’s Newmarket neighborhood, is slated to open for business on Tuesday, May 4. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected James Perry as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of this new Chick-fil-A® restaurant in Hampton. Perry will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A Newmarket is located at 5018 Mercury Blvd and will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
At Chick-fil-A, safe service is a top priority. To ensure social distancing and limit contact between Team Members and guests, Chick-fil-A Newmarket will open for drive-thru and carry-out service. Guests can take advantage of contactless ordering and payment through the free Chick-fil-A mobile app or through online ordering. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Newmarket will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Hampton with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Hampton area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Locally Owned and Operated
U.S. Navy veteran, minister and current franchised Operator of Chick-fil-A Mercury Boulevard in Hampton, James Perry, will be leading the Chick-fil-A Newmarket team alongside his wife, Shelia. The Perry’s have lived in the Hampton community for more than twelve years, and when they are not serving great-tasting food with excellent service at Chick-fil-A Mercury Boulevard or spending time with their family, they are supporting several initiatives focused on developing young leaders in their community. A Chick-fil-A Operator since 2008, Perry will continue his role at Chick-fil-A Mercury Boulevard while simultaneously leading his new team at Chick-fil-A Newmarket.
