Restaurant to Bring Approximately 90 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community

In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Helena will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Helena with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Birmingham area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Locally Owned and Operated
Birmingham native Brad Nichols was first introduced to Chick-fil-A at eight years old when his father became the franchised Operator for Chick-fil-A Century Plaza Mall and Chick-fil-A Eastwood Mall. Inspired by his father’s experience caring for guests and mentoring his Team Members, Nichols began working for Chick-fil-A Trussville in high school. After graduation, he accepted a management role at 1-800-Got-Junk, a franchised residential and commercial junk removal company. Nichols he gained valuable leadership skills and business acumen while serving the Helena/Pelham/Alabaster areas. He then transitioned back to working for Chick-fil-A Trussville near the end of college while earning his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Samford University. In 2012, Nichols was selected to become the Operator of Chick-fil-A Esplanade Mall in Kenner, La. and then went on to become the Operator of Chick-fil-A Chambers Town Center in Baytown, Tex. After serving those communities for nearly 10 years, he is excited to be back home to build new relationships with Team Members and guests as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Helena.
Nichols and his wife Holly met in high school at Briarwood Christian School and currently live in the greater Birmingham area with their two children, Walker and Taylor. He enjoys golfing, fishing, traveling and spending quality time with his family in his free time.
