Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Houston area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A Northway Center is locally owned and operated by Houston-area resident Francisco Hernandez. This is Hernandez’s second Chick-fil-A restaurant—he will continue to operate Chick-fil-A Northwest Crossing, where he has been the Owner/Operator for 16 years. Hernandez started his Chick-fil-A career in high school as a Team Member at Chick-fil-A Houston County Galleria. During this time, he received a Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarship to help achieve his educational aspirations. Upon graduating from Houston Community College, he was accepted into Chick-fil-A’s Leadership Development Program, where he spent two years traveling the West Coast learning the ins and outs of operating a Chick-fil-A restaurant. Eventually he returned home to Houston to become the Operator of Chick-fil-A Northwest Crossing.
For Hernandez, Chick-fil-A has always felt like family. He met his wife at Chick-fil-A, and they now have two children, Christopher and Sofia. His family helps support the day-to-day operations of both his restaurants. Hernandez is excited to bring another Chick-fil-A restaurant to the Houston community and continue serving guests great-tasting food with genuine hospitality at Chick-fil-A Northwest Crossing and Chick-fil-A Northway Center.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to open another restaurant in the community I call home,” said Hernandez. “I am looking forward to welcoming new Team Members and developing their leadership skills, and continuing to build meaningful relationships within the community.”
