Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A Joliet is locally-owned and operated by Kris Yoder, a native of Illinois who was raised in the Chicago suburbs. Growing up, Yoder’s family owned a local butcher shop, which ultimately drove his passion for high-quality food, later leaving the family business for the chicken business. Before starting his career with Chick-fil-A, Yoder attended Huntington University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry. Following graduation, Yoder was looking for ways to make a positive impact in his community and started his career with Chick-fil-A as a Restaurant Team Member.
After serving the community as a Chick-fil-A Wheaton Team Member for more than a year, Yoder was promoted to a Senior Director position within the Restaurant. Throughout his time at Chick-fil-A Wheaton, he was mentored by the Restaurant’s franchise and learned the ins and outs of the Chick-fil-A business. In 2017, Yoder began the Chick-fil-A Leadership Development Program, where he traveled the country developing his leadership skills and serving Chick-fil-A restaurants in varying capacities. Shortly following the program's completion, Yoder was selected to become the independent franchise owner of his first restaurant in Joliet. Alongside his wife, Abbey, Yoder is thrilled to bring Chick-fil-A to the Joliet community.
