Restaurant to Bring Approximately 120 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community

JOPLIN, Mo. (March 28, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Joplin on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Joplin native Rick Starkweather as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A I-44 & Range Line Road. Starkweather will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 120 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A I-44 & Range Line Road is located at 3509 S. Range Line Road, near Sam’s Club, and will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A I-44 & Range Line Road will open for drive-thru, carry-out and dine-in service. In honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners across the state of Missouri to aid in the fight against hunger.

Rick Starkweather, Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A I-44 & Range Line Road, was born and raised in Joplin, Mo. Starkweather’s career with Chick-fil-A began 35 years ago when he was selected to become the Operator of Chick-fil-A Northpark Mall. Twenty-one years later, he became the Operator of a second restaurant location, Chick-fil-A 21st & Range Line Road. Starkweather looks forward to opening Chick-fil-A I-44 & Range Line Road while continuing to serve guests at both Chick-fil-A Northpark Mall and Chick-fil-A 21st & Range Line Road.
