Restaurant to Bring Approximately 80 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community

LEESBURG, Va. (Sept. 20, 2021) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Leesburg on Friday, Sept. 24. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Danielle O’Dell as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Oaklawn. O’Dell will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 80 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A Oaklawn is located at 304 Kellys Ford Plaza SE, near the intersection of Battlefield Parkway SE and Sycolin Road, and will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A Oaklawn will open for mobile curbside pickup, carry-out and drive-thru service, with third-party delivery available shortly after the opening. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Oaklawn will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Leesburg with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Washington, D.C. area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A Oaklawn is locally owned and operated by Danielle O’Dell. Growing up, Chick-fil-A was a family tradition with O’Dell’s father operating a local Chick-fil-A restaurant. Alongside her siblings, O’Dell started her career as a Team Member working for her father’s restaurant throughout high school and college. During this time, she was awarded a Chick-fil-A scholarship to help earn her bachelor's degree from George Mason University. Upon graduating, O’Dell looked to continue her family’s tradition and set her sights on becoming a Chick-fil-A Operator. In 2008, she was thrilled to be selected as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Ballston Commons Mall in Arlington, Virginia. After three years in this role, O’Dell was selected as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Leesburg. With more than a decade of serving the Leesburg community alongside her family, she is thrilled to open Chick-fil-A Oaklawn, while continuing to operate Chick-fil-A Leesburg.
