Restaurant to Bring Approximately 115 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community
WOODBURY, Minn. (Aug. 30, 2021) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Woodbury on Thursday, Sept. 2. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Bob Lee as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Woodbury. Lee will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 115 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A Woodbury is located at 6939 Valley Creek Rd, in the heart of Woodbury off I-494, and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A Woodbury will open for full dine-in service, drive-thru and carry out. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Woodbury will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Woodbury with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Minneapolis–Saint Paul area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A Woodbury is locally owned and operated by Bob Lee. Originally from Frederic, Wisconsin, Lee has called the Woodbury community home for nearly a decade. He previously served as the Operator of nearby Chick-fil-A Maplewood in Maplewood, Minnesota, but his experience in the restaurant industry extends beyond that. Before joining Chick-fil-A, Lee worked for Cargill as a Research and Development Manager. In this role, he and his team worked with Chick-fil-A to help develop and roll out egg whites for the Egg White Grill.
Now, Lee and his family look forward to bringing this new restaurant to Woodbury and serving the local community.
