Restaurant to Bring Approximately 150 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community

EDISON, NJ (Nov. 29, 2021) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Edison on Thursday, Dec. 2. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Sophie Stein as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Edison Towne Square. Stein will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 150 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A Edison Towne Square is located at 999 US Highway 1, and will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. 

Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A Edison Towne Square will open for drive-thru, mobile ordering, dine-in and carry-out service, with third-party delivery available shortly after the opening. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Edison Towne Square will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Edison with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater central New Jersey area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Locally Owned and Operated

Chick-fil-A Edison Towne Square is locally owned and operated by New Jersey native Sophie Stein, who holds a Masters in Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Florida International University. She began her Chick-fil-A journey more than 13 years ago as a restaurant Team Member in Fort Myers, Fla. As a Team Member, Stein held a number of positions inside of the restaurant before joining Chick-fil-A’s Leadership Development Program, where she traveled the country opening restaurants at the corporate level. After much hard work and dedication, Stein was chosen to become the Operator of Chick-fil-A Menlo Park Mall in her home state.

Now Stein is thrilled to transition into her new role as Operator of Chick-fil-A Edison Towne Square and looks forward to welcoming guests into her new location.

“My experience with Chick-fil-A began at age 15, and I immediately fell in love with the food, culture, community and endless opportunities available for Team Members like me,” said Stein. “It’s surreal to reflect on my growth with this company, and my goal is to create similar experiences and opportunities for my team at Chick-fil-A Edison Towne Square.”
