Restaurant to Bring Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community
MARYVILLE, Tenn. (April 5, 2021) – A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is slated to open for business in Maryville on Wednesday, April 7. Chick-fil-A®, Inc. has selected Frankie Turner as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A West Broadway Avenue. Turner will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A West Broadway Avenue is located at 1767 W Broadway Ave, at the intersection of U.S. Route 129 and U.S. Route 411, and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
To ensure social distancing and limit contact between Team Members and guests, Chick-fil-A West Broadway Avenue will open via drive-thru, carry out and limited dine-in service. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A West Broadway Avenue will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Maryville with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Knoxville area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Locally Owned and Operated
A Maryville native, Frankie Turner began his Chick-fil-A career nearly 40 years ago as a Team Member at Chick-fil-A Foothills Mall. Since then, he has held a variety of roles at the company, including Operator of both Chick-fil-A Foothills Mall and Chick-fil-A Hunter’s Crossing. As the local owner and operator of Chick-fil-A West Broadway Avenue, Turner is thrilled to offer delicious food and genuine hospitality to his hometown of Maryville.
Turner graduated with an associate degree from Walter State College and attended the University of Tennessee. As a testament to his continued support of local education, in 2016, he was awarded the Starlight Award by Maryville City Schools Foundation, a charitable organization that benefits educational programs for students in local schools. In his free time, Turner enjoys boating on the lake and snowmobiling with his family.
