The art behind the Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit
In 1985 – one year before the first stand-alone Chick-fil-A restaurant was built in Atlanta – the Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit made its debut. The arrival was part of a plan to, “offer the delicious taste of Chick-fil-A chicken throughout the day instead just lunch and dinner” with a distinctive Southern twist, said Shona Jonson, a senior manager on Chick-fil-A’s menu team.

Standing in a Chick-fil-A in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2015, she watched customers and Team Members alike rave about a menu item being tested: the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich. It was a new take on the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and she says no one could get enough of it or the Smokehouse BBQ sauce that tops off the ingredients.

Good news! If you’re looking to end 2021 with a Nugget Tray or ring in 2022 with Waffle Fries, Chick-fil-A will be open for both. Most Chick-fil-A locations will be open on New Year’s Eve from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., while on New Year’s Day, most restaurants will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
