Restaurant Brings Approximately 120 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes With Free Chick-fil-A Meals for a Year

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 12, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Greenfield community on Thursday, Sept. 15. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Cody Walburn as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Greenfield.

Located at 2203 N. State St., in the Greenfield Market, Chick-fil-A Greenfield will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out, with third-party delivery available shortly after the opening, from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Greenfield can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.

At Chick-fil-A Greenfield, Cody Walburn will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 120 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.

Walburn began his Chick-fil-A journey in 2017 after meeting a Chick-fil-A Operator at church in Atlanta. It was through this mentorship that Walburn discovered that being an Operator could provide him a platform to make a positive influence on his Team Members and the overall community. After graduating from Purdue University, Walburn began working for Chick-fil-A, learning the ropes of the business. Since 2020, he has been an Operator of Chick-fil-A College Mall and also Chick-fil-A Castleton Square. An Indiana native, Cody Walburn and his wife of more than six years, Victoria, have a two-year old daughter and are expecting another child this fall. Walburn, alongside his family, is thrilled to serve the Greenfield community great tasting food with Chick-fil-A’s signature hospitality.

Caring for the Greenfield Community
In honor of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America on behalf of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Indianapolis area to aid in the fight against hunger.

In addition, Chick-fil-A Greenfield is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Greenfield area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.

Walburn’s restaurant will be participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ Program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.
