Application Tips

In February, our Community Scholars were surprised at the Chick-fil-A, Inc. Support Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Our 12 Community Scholars were selected due to their outstanding academic achievement, demonstrated care through community service, as well as personal recommendations from a teacher, coach, community leader or mentor who spoke to each recipient’s personal and professional achievements.

Keep in mind

Apply early

Beginning early will allow more time to ask questions, gather transcripts and thoughtfully complete your application. It will also give your recommender more time to fill out the recommendation portion. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.

Request a transcript

As part of the application process, you’ll be asked to upload a transcript that includes your name, your current or most recent school’s name, your grade point average (GPA) and the number of credit hours for each class taken.

Answer thoroughly

When answering questions, include specific details about academic honors, community care and service opportunities, etc., to make your application as informative and competitive as possible. We also recommend sharing your application with an adult or peer/mentor before submission to ensure your responses are complete.
