Restaurant Brings Approximately 65 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year

KYLE, Texas (May 20, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A^® restaurant will begin serving the Kyle community on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Joseph Ramirez as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Kyle Crossing. 

Located at 2211 Kohlers Crossing, Chick-fil-A Kyle Crossing will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, curbside pickup, delivery and catering from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. 

The Kyle Crossing restaurant joins more than 30 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Austin market. 

Locally Owned and Operated  
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day. 

In Kyle, Ramirez will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 65 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Kyle community’s needs. 

Ramirez started his career with Chick-fil-A Alamo Ranch Marketplace in San Antonio as a Team Member in 2008. He worked through various leadership positions, ultimately becoming a General Manager while attending business school. After graduation, he joined the Chick-fil-A^® Leadership Development Program to help local Owner-Operators across the country open their own restaurants. In this role, he supported 10 Chick-fil-A restaurant openings from 2014 to 2016. 

“Early on in my career, I fell in love with the brand and the hard work that went into the business,” said Ramirez. “I was so fortunate to have mentors at Chick-fil-A who pushed me to pursue leadership opportunities, and I am grateful to be able to provide those same opportunities to my Team Members now.” 

In 2016, Ramirez relocated to Las Cruces, New Mexico after being selected as the local Owner-Operator role at Chick-fil-A E. University Avenue. After a fulfilling three years, Ramirez was given to opportunity to relocate to Texas and serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Kyle. Through the restaurant, Ramirez is grateful to support local schools and organizations in Kyle and is looking forward to growing his impact in the community as he opens his second restaurant. Ramirez lives in nearby New Braunfels with his wife, Samantha, and their newborn daughter, Carly. 

“Texas is home for my family and me,” noted Ramirez. “I hope that with the opening of Chick-fil-A Kyle Crossing, we can better serve the community and make the city feel like home for everyone that visits us.”

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Central Texas Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant. 

In addition, Chick-fil-A Kyle Crossing is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Kyle area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
