Chick-fil-A RedBird opens next week in historic, revitalized Dallas neighborhood
ATLANTA (Nov. 2, 2023) – Chick-fil-A celebrates the opening of its 3,000th restaurant next week. The milestone restaurant will open Thursday, Nov. 9 in the historic and revitalized RedBird neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Consuela Jacobs as the local Owner-Operator of the Chick-fil-A® RedBird location.
Celebrating the 3,000th Milestone
To commemorate the 3,000th Chick-fil-A restaurant, Jacobs will be accompanied by Chick-fil-A CEO Andrew T. Cathy and other executive leaders to participate in a ceremonial ribbon cutting Thursday morning. She will also be joined by her family, friends and other local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators from across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
“Marking the 3,000th milestone is a testament to our local Owner-Operators, Team Members and Guests and their continued support of the Company,” said Andrew T. Cathy, CEO of Chick-fil-A, Inc. “We are so thrilled to be celebrating together as we honor our founder, and my grandfather, S. Truett Cathy’s mission of remarkable customer service and demonstrating care to all. As we continue to expand, we still take pride in the fact that our restaurants are locally owned and operated businesses that invest in their people and their community, and Chick-fil-A RedBird is no exception.”

The RedBird restaurant will incorporate unique features, including a red bench near the front door with a plaque honoring the 3,000th restaurant location. An interior wall will also display a framed design that pays homage to the mosaic tile artwork on the façade of the main building in The Shops at RedBird, where the restaurant is located.
“I’m humbled to join this company as a local Owner-Operator and open my own Chick-fil-A restaurant in a neighborhood where I spent a lot of time during my childhood,” said Jacobs. “After several years of working as a retail buyer, I am eager to apply my learnings from the industry – and use my experience as a former Chick-fil-A Team Member – to create a place that honors the legacy of Chick-fil-A’s founder and where the RedBird neighborhood feels welcome.”
A Texas native, Jacobs has an extensive background in retail and a passion for custom service, which uniquely qualify her in her next chapter as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A RedBird. Her restaurant, located in The Shops at RedBird development, will bring 110 full- and part-time jobs to the local community and joins more than 144 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Dallas-Fort Worth market, bringing the total number of Texas locations to 471 – with 129 opened in the past five years.
Caring for Our Communities
To honor the 3,000th restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. and the local restaurant will give back to local communities in a variety of ways:
• Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate a collective $300,000 to help fight food insecurity and support education in local communities. Feeding America and Junior Achievement will each receive a $150,000 donation.
