Expansion plans include a long-term investment of $75 million USD in Singapore over the next decade

SINGAPORE (OCT. 17, 2024) – Chick-fil-A, Inc., the third largest quick-service restaurant chain in the United States by sales, today announced plans to open its first Restaurant in Singapore in late 2025, marking the brand’s entry into Asia. Chick-fil-A is known for its delicious food prepared with high-quality ingredients, served with its signature hospitality, spanning more than 3,000 restaurants globally.

The first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Singapore begins a 10-year, $75 million USD investment.

In June 2024, Chick-fil-A (Asia) Pte Ltd hosted a pop-up event in Singapore to help introduce the brand to the community and gain a nuanced understanding of Guest preferences in the region. More than 1,000 people in Singapore enjoyed an iconic Original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich at the three-day experience. Through a suggested S$10 donation, attendees helped generate S$30,000 in donations for Community Chest, the philanthropy and engagement arm of National Council of Social Service (NCSS)

“The profound love that Singaporeans have for food as well as the city’s strategic position as a gateway to the Asian market make it the ideal choice for Chick-fil-A’s first permanent restaurant in the region,” said Anita Costello, Chief International Officer at Chick-fil-A, Inc. “We are grateful for the overwhelming support and positive response from Singaporeans so far and we look forward to serving them in 2025.”

Unique Franchise Model Empowers Owner-Operators to Build a Culture of Care
Founded on S. Truett Cathy’s principle "a great company is a caring company," Chick-fil-A, Inc. and Chick-fil-A restaurants are dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities they serve. That sentiment reflects the shared commitment of local Owner-Operators and restaurant Team Members to giving back and creating lasting change in their local neighbourhoods.

Local Owner-Operators of Chick-fil-A restaurants in Singapore will have the opportunity to be part of the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ food donation program, which feeds hungry people by sharing surplus food with local nonprofit partners to help those who need it most. In the United States and Canada, more than 30 million meals have been created for people in need since the program began in 2012.

The Chick-fil-A franchise model empowers local Owner-Operators because most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors. These local entrepreneurs work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day, engaging and connecting with Guests.

This model combines business opportunity and community impact: it is a franchise opportunity that helps enable individuals to realize their dream of owning their own business, and also provides an experience that affords Chick-fil-A Operators the opportunity to impact countless lives – from their Team Members to the Guests who visit their restaurants.

“We are thrilled to introduce Chick-fil-A to Singapore, bringing new jobs and opportunities as we support the local community. Serving our Guests with high quality food and signature hospitality remains our top priority as we do so,” said Hugh Park, Head of Asia Pacific Operations at Chick-fil-A (Asia) Pte Ltd. “Our unique approach, with locally owned and operated restaurants, will also allow us to better connect with people in Singapore as we provide an authentic Chick-fil-A experience.”

Chick-fil-A (Asia) is currently accepting expressions of interest for individuals who are interested in becoming the first independent Chick-fil-A franchise Owner-Operator in Singapore. Learn more at https://bit.ly/applytoChickfilASG
