At Chick-fil-A, our commitment to deliver an exceptional customer experience is at the heart of everything we do. As we look to the future, we are evolving our strategy around non-traditional restaurants to align with our local ownership franchise model.
We remain committed to growing on college campuses and other non-traditional locations to continue to bring the Chick-fil-A brand to our guests. Over the next several years, we will work towards converting many of our licensed locations to Owner-Operator led restaurants to extend our proven model of local ownership and community engagement.
We will evaluate each site individually, in collaboration with the current licensee providers and campus administrations. This change will not include airport locations.
As restaurants become Owner-Operator led, customers will be able to use Chick-fil-A’s established technology solutions, including the Chick-fil-A® App, Chick-fil-A One® Membership program, and will be able to redeem branded gift cards, which are amenities and conveniences currently not available at licensed locations. This change will also give an Owner-Operator’s Team Members working in these restaurants access to Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarships.
We are excited about this next chapter and believe our local ownership business model will allow us to serve and care for guests and extend the great food and hospitality of Chick-fil-A in more places, for many years to come.
