When James Perry and his wife stepped onto the field of Mercedes-Benz Stadium during the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on December 30, 2023, they thought they were participating in a presentation for his years of service as a Chick-fil-A Operator. Instead, he got the surprise of a lifetime. First, a video played on the jumbotron of his daughter, U.S. Army Captain Shalesa Perry, congratulating him for his work and wishing him a happy birthday.
