UNIVERSAL CITY, Texas (Oct. 9, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Universal City community at its newest location on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025 at 6:00 a.m., creating approximately 100 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Troy Luster to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Kitty Hawk Rd.
Located at 700 Kitty Hawk Road, Chick-fil-A Kitty Hawk Rd will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, Mobile Thru, carry-out, delivery and catering.

“After 20 years in the restaurant industry, including a decade of serving in various Chick-fil-A restaurants, I’m thrilled to return to the community that holds a special place in my heart,” said Luster. “The elementary school I attended is five minutes down the road from the new restaurant and my mom worked at the neighboring Randolph Air Force Base for 30 years, so I’m very familiar with the neighborhood and what makes it unique. I’ve loved seeing the way this beautiful community has grown over the years, and I’m excited to bring Chick-fil-A’s delicious food and signature hospitality for all to enjoy.”
Born in San Antonio, Luster began his career at Chick-fil-A in high school and continued to work with the company throughout college. After stepping away to pursue other ventures, Luster felt called to return to Chick-fil-A, where he found renewed appreciation for the company’s culture, specifically the emphasis on providing care and making an impact in the community. He’s thrilled to bring Universal City’s first Chick-fil-A, creating a welcoming place for families to enjoy delicious food.

- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support local hunger relief efforts of San Antonio Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.

To celebrate the opening, Luster and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
